Job overviewA full-time post as Trust Grade Registrar in Cardiology with a subspecialty interest is available now at the Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals NHS Trust.
The unit provides a service covering all aspects of Cardiology and this post will allow some subspecialisation training - but no access to training in coronary intervention.
Main duties of the jobThe post-holder will participate in the service's inpatient and outpatient activities.
The Registrars operate within a full-shift system with 12 whole-time equivalents.
Subspecialty experience will be dependent on the NTN group and availability of opportunities but may include:
Transthoracic, stress and transoesophageal echoHeart Failure ward rounds and inpatient careIn-house and outreach specialist outpatient clinicsMDT meetings (genetics, cardiomyopathy, TAVI etc)EP studiesCardiac CT listsWe endeavour to ensure our trust grade registrars do receive training and experience beyond service provision in an area that will enhance their CV and career development, and facilitate applications for NTN positions.
