Suitable candidates for the position will already have gained a minimum of 5 years' experience working with a Lloyd's broker and will be looking for a new challenge within a small and respected Lloyd's broker.
The candidate will be dealing with Non Marine and Property Treaty XL Business.
You will need to be able to cope with a busy work environment dealing with varied tasks throughout the day.
Reporting directly to the Divisional Director you will be responsible for the following duties:
Generate new contract and renewal enquiries.Submit enquiries to underwriters in the market.Submit endorsements and amendments to existing policies for approval.Develop and maintain new and existing relationships with Underwriters, Agents and Clients.To provide support director with regard to all broking requirements.Research (Re)insurance companies and their various products to find the most suitable insurance for clients at the best terms and price.Arrange specialised (Re)insurance cover in complex cases; preparing reports for underwriters and negotiating as required.Advise clients/agents on specific risk management.Produce and process open market slips and assist with binding authorities.
Produce slips/endorsements, evidence of cover, cover notes, policy schedules, debit notes and monthly lineslip declarations.
Process entries/contract on all computer systems including Brokasure.Assisting in claims handling as required.Compliance with procedures and regulatory requirements.General administration.Maintain required records, reports and files in an organized manner and present these to senior management as and when required.Dealing with any ad hoc duties.Person Specification This is a pivotal position within the company and therefore demands a responsible attitude.
All round broker experience is preferable and confidence with computers is essential.
Ideally you will be part CII qualified.
The ideal candidate will need to have strong computer skills and have some Lloyd's broker experience.
Good communicational and organisational skills are also essential.
Other desirable skills are:
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel and Outlook) or similar software applications.
• Ability to manage time, prioritise and ensure that deadlines are met without compromising quality.
• Ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing with clients, insurers and other associates.
