Job VacancyMidlothian Council Transportation is looking to employ a forward-thinking team player to help deliver gold standard fleet management to the diverse range of vehicles that the council operate.
Working in a fast-paced garage environment the ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator and have the ability to operate Microsoft packages plus experience of working fleet software would be advantageous.
An adaptable, dynamic approach to work you will be expected to solve problems, work collaboratively across services and manage the record keeping across various compliance functions of fleet services.
KNOWLEDGERelevant SCQF Level 6 / SVQ3 or equivalent in a relevant discipline and/or be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through previous experience.
IT literate and experienced in using Microsoft software packages and able to rapidly adapt to service specific software applications and make or lead suggestions for improvements.
A full current UK driving licence.
Operational knowledge in their area of responsibility of operations and legislation and Council policy is essential to deliver services and to make balanced judgements about operational priorities in tight timescales.
