Transport Planner

Transport Planner – Wakefield – Salary up to £44,000 Elevation Recruitment Group are proud to be working exclusively with an innovative global business based in Wakefield who are looking to recruit a Transport Planner to join their team.
This role will suit someone ideally from a chilled or frozen logistics background and a CPC qualification would be highly desirable.
Benefits: Paid overtime at 1.5 x salary Annual salary reviews Internal training and development opportunities Recently refurbished office space with brand new equipment Xmas vouchers Death in service (£150,000) 30 days holiday (rising with years of service to 34 days) Pension Transport Planner Duties: Maintain driver's hours map Book agency drivers as required from supplier Support to ensure sufficient resources are available to fulfil plans Sell loads to subcontractor as required with agreed prices and margin Buy backhaul loads as available in line with requirements Ensure all work undertaken is raised correctly and comprehensive information is recorded on TMS Consolidate orders in most efficient manner Route multi-drops in most appropriate manner Plan trailers to maximum use at point of consolidation Maintain drivers holiday plan in line with company requirements Hours: Full time Sunday to Thursday 9am – 5:30pm (30 min lunch) Required skills & experience: Previous experience in a similar role is essential with knowledge of transport planning and operations Knowledge of driver's hours regulations and working time rules Good knowledge of UK geography and able to estimate journey times Great verbal communication skills and an ability to build rapport If you would like to discuss this Transport Planner role in more detail, then do get in touch with Lewis at Elevation Recruitment Group now!
