We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Traffic/Transport Operator to join our clients team.
This role is integral to managing and coordinating transportation operations, ensuring that everything runs seamlessly from start to finish.Key Responsibilities:As a Traffic/Transport Operator, you will:Plan and monitor routes, ensuring efficient day-one checks, routing, and problem-solving.Dispatch trucks effectively for both day one and day two schedules.Collaborate with port expeditors and supervisors to guarantee correct dispatching of jobs.Assist with day-two planning when required.Manage driver logistics, including parking arrangements and night-out procedures.Provide Customer Service (CS) assistance by addressing day-to-day operational issues.Coordinate with port supervisors on driver and truck allocations.Liaise with HR on driver-related matters and Fleet Management regarding services for trucks and trailers.Maintain operational screens and complete weekly closedown procedures.Requirements:To excel in this role, you will need:Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards.Experience with VBS systems for ports, TOPS, and Destin8.Previous experience in container transportation.Proficiency in Microsoft 365.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.Flexibility in work hours, including potential shift work or on-call availability.A proven ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.Why Join Our Client?This is your chance to be a part of a team that values precision, teamwork, and innovation.
