Transport Planner

We at The Best Connection are looking for a Transport Planner to join our client based in Chesterfield.
Youll be responsible for route planning and ensuring that theirtransport department always runs in an efficient and effective manner.
Youll work on a 4 on 4 off basis, working the hours from 6am-6pm What youll do on a typical day: Track daily deliveries using the in-house vehicle tracking systems Fully utilise all vehicles to ensure accurate and appropriate allocation of drivers, vehicles, trailers, customer deliveries & trunking and backhaul.
Work closely with the operations to ensure vehicles and trailers are available to support the transport requirement.
Communicate and share efficient and customer focused plans with the local transport teams in a timely fashion.
