Transport Planner

Our client requires an experience Transport Planner with multi-drop HGV planning expertise.
In this role, your remit will be to ensure that all aspects of the transport functions for the depot are delivered in a timely and cost-efficient manner, managing and delivering the load program in the most cost-effective way for between 10-20 HGV vehicles, working with both in house and agency drivers who carry out multi-drops each day.
Responsibilities Include Deliver the daily transport program in the most cost-effective way, monitoring load efficiency by cost, weight and vehicle utilisation.
Managing strict vehicle maintenance requirements to meet all  regulations such as Servicing, Plating, MOT, Road Tax.
Manage and regulate driver hours to comply with all legislation.
Support and manage drivers on day-to-day operations Manage agency relationships for site cover and pre-planned support.
All day-to-day transport planning requirements Experience Required Experience planning for multi- drop HGV's in the UK .
Up To Date knowledge of all UK transport regulations for both vehicle and driver A great knowledge of the UK roads Excellent approach to problem solving, resolution focused Flexibility in operational working hours.
