Job Description Blue Arrow are currently recruiting for an ongoing transport despatcher for one of our client based in Bellshill potentially could be temp to perm for the right candidate.
This role involves; Preparing driver schedules and routes Coordinating drivers helping to achieve customer and operational goals in the most efficient way Monitoring the daily schedules and routes, updating systems with accurate information.
Updating Stations and Management of any delays or problems.
Providing support to the driver and assisting them with issues resolution.
(For Example Breakdowns, Customer problems, Diversions) Contacting customers and sales team when needed to obtain additional information or advise on potential service-related issues Proactively reporting any issues that occurred during shift to the management and compiling reports where required.
Working Closely with the management team to ensure briefings and training documents and driver files are up to date and accurate.
Working on internal systems ensuring details are accurate and updated accordingly.
General Admin duties.
The preferred candidate must have experience in the below; Experience in in a busy transport and / or dispatch environment is an advantage Good Microsoft Office & PC skills Good geographical knowledge Focused on accuracy and attention to detail Driven to solve problems while using planning and organizing skills Able to communicate and keep calm Full training will be provided.
Hours of work - Monday to Friday 15.00-23.00 The right candidate must be flexible as these days and times can change to accommodate business needs.
Hourly rate £15.50ph PAYE Holiday pay accrued separately on top of hourly rate.
