Our client are recruiting for a Transport Coordinator at their brand new site in Halewood on the night shift to provide execution of the Transport Plan and despatch of deliveries and collections within the a face paced environment.
Salary £27,000 per annum plus 20% shift allowance Monday to Friday with optional overtime at weekends Shift 10am to 6am Lots of additional company benefits Training given as needed Progression opportunities available You will co-ordinate and prepare delivery and collection of freight information, ensuring all documentation is processed and completed on time and accurately whilst providing excellent customer service support.
Understanding Operational restrictions including management of transportation of sequenced stock and liaising with customer to ensure best possible customer service.
General Accountabilities Provision of excellent customer service Co-ordination of collection and delivery of goods Preparation of Transport and customer documents - ensure compliance with standard operating procedure To adhere to all company health and safety policies and standards of housekeeping Inputting despatch information into GTS Pro-actively escalates any potential service issue to both immediate management and to the customer.
Load building finished goods stock to amend planning schedule were required Creation of orders through to Documentation, liaising with warehouse personnel to ensure despatch When required, to ensure flexibility within the department to cover colleague's tasks during times of holidays & absence Investigate routings for the Transport Plan for new / amended customers/destinations Liaising with MLS and other UK Freight departments and locations Liaising with the operation to ensure stock is despatched correctly Dealing with customer requests to ensure service levels are surpassed Ensuring all administration is up to date and accurate To adhere to the company values To undertake any other reasonable tasks as detailed by the Management Team Local Accountabilities: Customs requirements and procedures as dictated by the customer Domestic transportation of goods To understand the implications of operating within a time sensitive environment Awareness of O'Licence compliance, WTD and drivers hours legislation Systems requirements including GTS Operational Documentation, compliance with escalation process Quality Standards as per the Quality Policy Quality Standards as per customer requirements Resources: Circa 20 LGV1 Drivers covering the shift operation along with 3 status administrators Skills/Experience required for role: Proven experience within Logistics Industry Proven experience within a customer facing role Computer literate Communication skills - verbal & written Ability to follow work procedures WTD and Drivers hours regulations If the above roles sounds of interest and you have the relevant skills and experience please apply today
