Transport Coordinator

Transport Coordinator Location: Newcastle Duration: Permanent Hours: Monday – Friday, 5:00am – 2:00pm Rate: £12.00 – £13.00 per hour (£25,000 - £27,000 per annum) Job Description Responsible for route planning Ensuring customer deliveries go out on time and with the correct documentation Liaising with customer depot's including the booking in of deliveries Making telephone calls to customers Keeping accurate records of goods coming in and out and ensuring computerised records are accurate and up to date Responsible for being on call on every four weeks Working as the intermediary between Team Leaders, team members and management to create open and regular communication Reporting any non-conformances, breaches of legislations, regulations and/or good practice Ensuring compliance in operator licence regulations Attending and contributing to meetings as requested All colleagues are expected to behave in a respectful and ethical manner to all team members, colleagues, visitors and third parties About you:  Previous experience working within the food manufacturing industry Customer service skills including written and verbal communication Extensive experience in processing shipping documents, orders, and payments.
Solid knowledge of transportation industry regulations.
