This role works out of our Head office, Redeham Hall Role Purpose/Objective: The Transport Coordinator is responsible and accountable for the day to day activities of the drivers and vehicles of Coinford Plant Ltd.
It is the Transport Coordinators responsibility to ensure that deliveries are made efficiently and effectively whilst managing clients' expectations.
The Transport Coordinator is accountable for ensuring the drivers, and the company, uphold the undertakings of the O Licence and operate within all company policy and processes.
They will also be responsible for the management of day to day FORS related requirements Key Responsibilities: Health & Safety To ensure a safe and compliant office working environment Ensuring drivers are adhering to the rules and regulations of the UK Highways Ensure that all drivers follow Coinford site safety rules Liaise with Operations Manager to ensure that drivers have the correct Driver CPC and necessary FORS training Ensuring that all drivers carry the correct licences and monitoring any infringements Quality Responsible for ensuring that the undertakings of the O Licence are adhered to Ensuring route planning, including movement orders, is efficient and effective Ensure paperwork is administered correctly Liaising with Coinford sites and external customers/suppliers Ensuring Tachos are downloaded on a regular basis, in accordance with DVSA regulations Ensuring driver infringements are recorded, logged and drivers are debriefed Booking PDI instructions for all vehicles, trailers and MOTs where necessary Ensure all defects are corrected promptly, and that paperwork is kept for a minimum of 15 months The recording of Working Time Directive for the drivers' hours Ensure that the day to day activities for FORS are administered and recorded Ensure that collision management is recorded and logged in accordance with FORS and Company Policy Ensure that the inhouse garage is working efficiently Commercial Ensuring route planning to ensure efficient deliveries Ensure that idling is kept to a minimum Supplier agreements are kept up to date Ensure invoices are checked and administered Ensure external transport is kept to a minimum The above list of job duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake such tasks as may reasonably be expected within the scope of their role.
Experience/skills required: Experienced CPC Manager preferable People management skills FORS knowledge and practitioner Excellent written and verbal communication skills Time management & planning skills Qualifications: Absolute minimum GCSE or equivalent qualification in English and Mathematics
