Transport Coordinator

Transport Coordinator (Freight) Aberdeen, Permanent Our client is a Global Logistics Company with their North-Sea hub based in Aberdeen.
They are recruiting and additional person to the team, to help provide an outstanding logistics service to multi-client portfolio.
As Transport Co-ordinator you will support the Transport Manager with the co-ordination of road shipments from start to finish, including quotation, ensuring that clients receive excellent customer service care throughout all aspects of their enquiry.
You will liaise with internal & external clients for all transport related issues and bookings for Norwegian and Holland / European trailer traffic.
Transport coordinator is responsible and accountable for (but not limited to) the following: ?
Offering competitive pricing to clients.
?
Ensuring jobs awarded are processed and followed through to completion.
?
Billing clients as per working SOPs ?
Completing Pre-Alerts / Advising Customs Clearance instructions ?
Liaising with the warehouse regarding incoming/outgoing freight.
?
Booking Ferry Spaces / Port base etc.
?
Updating customers on Progress ?
Job files are processed and completed within the monthly/year end schedules.
?
Load planning for Norway / European Trailers Attributes ?
Computer literate using Microsoft programmes ?
Good telephone manner ?
Ability to multi-task ?
Team player ?
Demonstrate forward planning ?
Local area knowledge ?
Transport functions ?
Dangerous goods knowledge Interested?
