Due to a new business opportunity, we have a requirement for a Transport Administration Clerk to join our busy team based in Carnforth.
Benefits Include Hourly rate of pay of £12ph Life insurance Medicash scheme Sickness scheme Pension scheme We are looking for a well organised individual who will assist the Milk Operations team with all relevant administration duties and support, ensuring all documentation as required is processed in line with company and customer expectations.
Someone who is able to work well within a busy operation team and can work unsupervised as well as part of a wider team.
Responsibilities Processing of daily paperwork in relation to milk operations in line with company processes Answer the telephone in a polite professional manner Deal with customer queries in a timely and accurate manner Liaise with internal and external personnel as required Input data accurately, providing reports as appropriate General administration duties including emailing, scanning, etc Support Wm Armstrong departments as needed and within remit of role Process any invoicing requirements in line with company processes Requirements Previous administration experience is essential Experience or familiar with a transport operation environment is preferred Ability to work unsupervised, or as part of a team, and be able to use your own initiative Confident, outgoing personality with a can do attitude Have excellent attention to detail Be proficient in using Microsoft packages (Excel, Word, Outlook) The Transport Administration Clerk must have a flexible approach to work demands and need to be an effective communicator with great organisational skills, being able to stay calm under pressure, thriving in a busy and fast-paced environment.
The position is mainly Monday Friday office hours, hours of work can be considered (30-40hrs per week), with mornings essential.
