Job Description Our Markham Vale site have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Administrator to join their team on a full time permanent basis.
Salary: £24,585 per annum.
Working hours: 4 on 4 off, 7am-7pm. As Transport Administrator you will provide effective administrative support to the Transport Department.
Ensuring all customer and driver queries are dealt within a timely manner.
A key part of your role will be briefing and de-briefing drivers on their daily tasks therefore, you will need to be approachable. Key Duties of a Transport Administrator: Administration and data entry to maintain the Company's systems for WTD and tachograph rules and regulations.
Monitoring and maintaining records for agency drivers.
Briefing and De-briefing drivers on their daily work tasks.
Dealing with driver and customer queries.
Creating Driver run sheets.
Receiving and monitoring fuel deliveries, maintaining the fuel monitoring system.
Scanning pods into the TMS.
Providing various reports / spreadsheets for internal departments in a timely manner.
Carrying out any other formal and legal duties.
Record keeping.
Working closely with the Transport Supervisor to adapt the daily plan when delays occur.
Carry out Driver licence checks.
Qualifications Excellent administration skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and ability to succeed in a pressurised environment.
Able to work using own initiative and with little supervision.
Good knowledge of MS Office, in particular Excel, Word, Outlook (or equivalent). Previous experience gained in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
Experience in an FMCG environment is desirable.
