Training Programme Director - Ultrasound

The successful applicant for this post will support the Head of School of Medicine in the co-ordination and direction of Specialty training (Emergency Medicine) in NHS England across the East Midlands.
As Training Programme Director, you will be responsible for coordinating the training across the region. You will ensure that national standards, determined by Royal Colleges, the GMC and NHS-E WT&E are implemented locally. Applicants must be currently working within the East Midlands area at consultant level or equivalent including SAS doctors in the specialty school area. Experience within the specialty at consultant or SAS doctor level is essential, as is considerable experience of working with learners or doctors in training in an educational context.
Main duties of the jobThe successful applicant will work closely with the Head of School of Emergency Medicine to produce doctors who will strive for the highest standards of patient-centred care and commit themselves to a lifetime of professional development.
As part of a national system, please note that a flat rate of £10,000 per PA, per year, (or pro rata as necessary) will be paid to a Trust for successful candidates appointed to TPD roles. This should be treated as a contribution towards the overall cost and is not a reflection of the individual's pay.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.
Staff recruited from outside the NHS will usually be appointed at the bottom of the pay band.
NHS England hold a Sponsor Licence; this means that we may be able to sponsor you providing the Home Office requirements are met. To be eligible for sponsorship through the Skilled Worker route you'll usually need to be paid the 'standard' salary rate of at least £38,700 per year, or the 'going rate' for your job, whichever is higher.
