Training Programme Director - Blended Learning and PGVLEThe role of the Blended Learning and PGVLE Training Programme Director is to work with and support and lead educators across the East of England to deliver Virtual learning aligned to the NHS England mandate and curricular requirements of training programs.
This post has been created specifically to support:
The transition of East of England educational materials from the current VLE (Bridge/Panopto) to the PGVLEContinue the running of the Blended Learning Fellows educational training program in the East of EnglandDevelop and deliver educational packages and content relating to the PGVLE, Blended learning and TEL to learners across the East of EnglandMain duties of the jobThe role is focused firmly upon improving patient and learner safety and experience and ensuring effective educational outcomes.
To support the PGD, the ADs will work across the spectrum of healthcare and, where relevant, social care, within the context of a team, so that the provision of education reflects changing service models.
This will deliver an integrated workforce comprising individuals from a spectrum of professional and other backgrounds.
The ADs are professionally and managerially accountable to the NHSE EoE PGD.
This particular role is designed to provide support to the educators in the EoE at local, regional and national levels.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.
NHS England holds a Sponsor Licence; this means that we may be able to sponsor you providing the Home Office requirements are met.
To be eligible for sponsorship through the Skilled Worker route you'll usually need to be paid the 'standard' salary rate of at least £38,700 per year, or the 'going rate' for your job, whichever is higher.

Job responsibilitiesEducation and Training Quality Improvement and Performance To emphasise the importance and promote the development of a quality learning environment for all learners.
To support Postgraduate Deans in meeting NHSE statutory requirements.
Patient Safety and Healthcare Quality Improvement Assist in the development of quality processes which are complementary across the healthcare workforce, particularly in relation to TEL.
To support the use of clinical skills training and simulation (where appropriate/applicable), stressing the importance of teamwork and human factors.
To oversee the Blended Learning Regional Training Programme and advise Postgraduate Deans and other senior Educators on the following matters:o VLE-specific matters and trainee/trainer concerns
o Postgraduate programme management including delivery and development of VLE
To provide reports to the Specialty Training Committee and School BoardTo complete the annual school development planEducational and Workforce Development To advise and support the Postgraduate Dean in educational and workforce development elements, including professional development of the educational facultyTo support compliance with requirements particularly with regard to the supervision and support for trainees and learners.To identify learning needs and support provision of educational appraisal, educator development and resource for faculty, trainees and learners.To create and promote shared learning opportunities to increase effective inter-professional working across East of England educators and learnersStrategic Workforce Development and Commissioning To contribute to the implementation of the PGVLE in the EoETo support the development of educational programmes where needed to support achievement of curriculum competencies, engaging with commissioning processes as required.To identify and support the implementation of alternative workforce solutions across the EoE.To advise the Postgraduate Dean on commissioning and decommissioning activities in relation to the PGVLE.Finance To engage with financial business planning processes and associated TEL budgets as needed.To ensure compliance with procurement requirements.Person SpecificationQualificationsMembership/Fellowship of a College, Faculty, professional association and/or regulatory bodyAttendance at courses aimed to support educational developmentPrimary clinical healthcare qualificationEducational qualification such as postgraduate certificate diploma or masters in medical educationExperienceConsiderable experience of working with learners or doctors in training in an educational contextExperience of clinical and educational leadership and innovation, including managing a multi-professional teamUnderstanding of developments involving the relevant Colleges/Faculties, professional bodies related NHS organisations and regulatory bodiesPrevious or current appointment as a leader in healthcare educationAwareness of funding streams for healthcare educationUnderstanding of current health, social care and education policySkillsDemonstrable leadership skills and an ability to influence and motivate othersAbility to quickly establish personal and professional credibility with colleagues and other key StakeholdersCommitted to own personal development and an ability to support others to develop and progressAbility to rapidly establish academic credibilityBehaviours and ValuesTo contribute to the vision of the local NHS and to enhance patient care by providing leadership and direction with respect to the quality of education and trainingAssociate Dean - Regional LMS & Blended Learning
Depending on experience Salary paid in line with TPD sessional payments
