Are you an enthusiastic Training Manager with a passion for food who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment? If so, we have an exciting new opportunity to join our Team at our Leeming Bar site.  The position is Full time, permanent, working 08:30 to 17:00 Mon to Thu & 08:30 to 16:00 Fridays    To manage the training function, ensuring employees have the necessary skills and competency to carry out their work.
Ensure best value and cost effective use of resources to ensure efficiency on site Deliver the site induction to all employees.
Work collaboratively across the business to ensure a proactive approach to training and people development Ensure all staff are trained and competent in their areas of work as well as in line with health, safety, quality and food hygiene regulations, refresh where necessary.
Arrange, facilitate and co-ordinate training plans with both internal and external suppliers ensuring added value Continue to assess and validate competency in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Job Observations (JOs).
Coordinate an annual training plan for the business, through effective Training Needs Analysis (TNA).
The ability to write and deliver tool box talks.
To work with various departments to write and refresh SOPs and Jos Carry out Job Observations Weekly ensuring Understanding Liaise with OEMs and external training providers to arrange training.
Management of training matrices ensuring they are accurate and easily accessible Develop and maintain structured processes and practices for delivering continuous improvement Work closely with the People team to foster a culture of People development and forward planning Maintain organised training files and ensure sign offs are up to date and audit ready.
Work with other departmental managers to coordinate training activities.   Seek out best practice ideas both internally/externally.
Skills and Experience Requirements: Training experience from within a factory setting, ideally in the food or other FMCG sectors Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including presentation skills The ability to identify training needs and assess learners The ability to use a variety of learning styles which adapt to the learner Experience of teaching, coaching or training others Experience of assessing others and giving effective, constructive feedback A "can do will do" attitude and willingness to learn Excellent IT skills - Word, Excel, PowerPoint Excellent organisation skills with a methodical approach Willing to work flexible schedules/shifts as needed A strong sense of personal and professional integrity Well-developed problem solving skills A drive for the improvement of learning and development Determination, tenacity and resilience A passion for learning and development Experience of working with diverse teams
