CBW are recruiting on behalf of a leading facilities management provider who provides world-class contract catering services to a wide range of clients across the UK, including Defence, Judicial, Private Industry, and Education sectors.
We are currently looking to hire an experienced and dedicated Training Catering Manager to join our clients team within a prison environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a crucial role in a prison, feeding approximately 1,000 inmates daily.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will manage and deliver all food and food safety training for prisoners working in catering areas.
Responsibilities Deliver Food Safety and allergen training to prisoners working in the catering areas.
Maintain up-to-date induction processes and training matrixes.
Provide practical demonstrations and coach/mentor prisoners in food preparation, use of kitchen equipment, and health and hygiene.
Assist in food preparation when necessary.
Conduct monthly safety checks and identify further training needs for both prisoners and staff.
Coordinate all relevant training administration, including identifying and enrolling learners for NVQs.
Maintain a registration tracker and meet monthly KPIs by providing monthly training statistics.
Key Requirements: Strong knowledge of food safety, having worked in a kitchen environment.
Level 3 Food Safety qualification required.
Experience in training and developing individuals, with a patient and resilient communication style.
Qualifications: PTTLS & TAQA are essential.
Ability to deliver training in Food Safety, Manual Handling, and NVQs.
