Job summary The purpose of the role will be to work as part of amulti-disciplinary team within our Children and Young Peoples Mental HealthService to offer high-quality, brief outcome focused evidence-basedinterventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderatemental health difficulties (anxiety and low mood) with supervision and support.The post holder will support vulnerable anddisadvantaged children and young people with emotional and mental ill health torise above lifes challenges, build resilience, andachieve positive andsustainable outcomes.
Thepost holder will be required to train in the relevant IAPT qualification,complete the course within the given timescales, and have the necessaryknowledge and capabilities to operate effectively in an inclusive, value-drivenservice.The post holder will attend alluniversity-based taught and self-study days required by the education providerand work in service for the remaining days of the week using their newlydeveloped skills.
The post holder will be flexible inmeeting the needs of the service by carrying out clinical work across the SouthTees areas as the service requires.Supportwill be provided by the IAPT Lead/ Service Manager who will carry out linemanagement responsibilities and regular clinical and case managementsupervision will be arranged with suitably qualified practitioners.

To ensure children, young people and families havea voice both in relation to their own support and wider service andorganisational developments to ensure continuous improvement in experience.Workingin Teams 1.Work aspart of The Junctions team(s) to provide a flexible and effective service forvulnerable children, young people and their families to achieve positiveoutcomes in line with organisational and the project objectives.
2.Createand maintain effective working relationships with Headteachers, Deputy Heads,SENDCOs, Pastoral Teams, mental health champions and wider teaching staff byproviding advice and consultative support on emotional and mental healthissues, and in relation to appropriate referral pathways for children, youngpeople and families experiencing moderate to severe mental health difficulties.
3.Workcollaboratively with all colleagues and partner agencies, including attendingand reporting to relevant external meetings as directed including safeguarding,child protection and others as required.
4.Take acollaborative team approach both in relation to managing workloads andsupporting colleagues, including the support of volunteers and placements.
5.Ensuringthat information about the role of The Junction and its projects is publicisedand promoted.
6.Work aspart of The Junctions team(s) to contribute to its strategic and organisationaldevelopment including sharing experience, knowledge and where appropriateproviding training and guidance.
7.Tocontribute to the day-to-day administration & running of The Junctions projects& services.
