Protective Coating Technician Droitwich Permanent, full-time Competitive salary plus + Enhanced overtime rates You will undertake duties associated to our protective coating's services, included but not limited to spray application of polyurea, working towards sole responsibility for running the equipment within the coating trailers.
Various other coating application techniques are carried out on an adhoc basis including spray applied vinyl esters in chemical locations, dual layer resin tank lining techniques and hand applied protective coatings where applicable.More about the role:Operating Company vehicles which the postholder is suitably qualified to operate.Responsibility for ensuring all vehicle checks are undertaken prior to commencing any works.
It is the postholders responsibility for ensuring all required equipment is located and stored on the allocated vehicle for the pursuance of works.
Reporting any vehicle defects to supervision as soon as identified.To support the protective coatings team with the application of associated materials in a variety of environments, providing primary, secondary, or tertiary containment.Ensure all uplifting and offloading of product and materials is undertaken in the correct and compliant manner with high regard for health and safety and correct working practices.Works to be carried out in accordance with health and safety to include provided RAMS documentation.
Required to use knowledge and experience to contribute to the pursuance of works and meet customer demand and satisfy works.Liaison with customers on site to discuss on-going works and further services of the Company.Completion of all works paperwork and submission in a timely manner to divisional supervision.Liaison with supervision regarding all works and recommending improvements or possible opportunities.Any other duties as designated by management for which the post holder is suitably trained and capable of doing.About you:Previous spray application experience would be advantageous, whether protective or cosmetic.The successful candidate must possess knowledge and experience of completing RAMS documentation.Experience of operating plant would be a major advantage.Previous experience of operating in a similar role / environment would be highly advantageous.A willingness to work in an environment of change, dealing with emergency works is essential.Due to the nature of the role and the response duties, a flexible approach to working hours, travel and working days is required.Full UK driving licence.Willingness to undertake additional training as required to meet the needs of the depot.Must be willing to work away on a regular basis.Must be a great team member, capable of supporting colleagues in challenging times.Right to work in the UK.What we can offer you:Enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption pay and leave.Company pension.Life Assurance scheme (x4 salary)Medicare Cash Plan (includes cash payments towards dental, medical, therapeutic treatments) with the option to add up to 4 dependantsRefer a friend scheme.Employee assistance programme (access to GP appointments and mental health support)Competitive annual leave plus bank holidays.
