The Trainee Accountant will be responsible for supporting the Management Accountant with the production and distribution of key reports which cover areas such as Weekly P&L; KPI trackers; Monthly management accounts; Balance sheet reconciliations and other key reporting deadlines.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Assist with the preparation of key outputs Support the Management Accountant in all areas as appropriate Any other reports/information as requested by senior management Assist with ensuring the monthly management accounts are prepared and reviewed on a timely basis.
Assist with ensuring that accurate and complete balance sheet reconciliations are completed on a quarterly basis in accordance with both the Financial Controllers and Group requirements Support the forecasting and budgeting processes through the preparation of schedules for the Management Accountant.
Support external/internal audit processes.
The successful candidate will possess the following: Degree level education or AAT/Part Qualified Commitment to join one of the professional bodies within 3 months of joining and undertake to complete a minimum of 2 exams per year (an educational support package is provided as part of the role) A minimum of 6 months experience in a finance environment to include working knowledge of accounting systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a high level of efficiency in Excel Ability to communicate effectively at all levels Ability to work on own initiative Willingness to learn and take on new tasks Self-motivated with the drive to succeed Desirable Exposure to Oracle systems Musgrave is an equal opportunities employer.
