Job summary This is an exciting opportunity to join a fantastic team and be part of the Hospital@Night Team at Salford whilst studying your fully funded apprenticeship route to gain a MSc in Advanced Practice.
The overall training programme is 24 month long (MSc), on successful completion the post will progress to Band 8a.
The programme has also been accredited by Health Education England.
We are looking to recruit a Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner who has a broad range of clinical experience who are ready to take the next step in their clinical career.
You will work within a dynamic multi-disciplinary team, under the supervision of the H@N Advanced Clinical Practitioners, medical and speciality teams to enhance the patient experience through the delivery of excellent patient-focused care.
You must have proven broad experience and be able to demonstrate the motivation required to take on an ACP role.
The successful candidate will be paid at a Band 7.
Upon completion of the MSC in Advanced Practice the successful candidate will progress to a Band 8A Advanced Clinical Practitioner.
Main duties of the job Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner (tACP) The tACP training programme will vary in length on an individual basis.
The following is intended as a guide and is based on an individual working full time.
There are two key aspects to the training, education, and clinical practice.
The overall training programme is expected to take just over two years and you fill have 2 protected days to attend University.
The other 3 days are for you to identify your training and to obtain placements across the organisation to fulfil your required knowledge and skills.
There will be regular education and support from the Hospital@Night ACPs and Consultant plus opportunities to spend time in other specialities.
You will ensure that evidence-based practice is inherent in all aspects of care and treatment and ensure this knowledge is disseminated throughout the clinical area, Trust and externally as appropriate.
You will: Undertake a significant clinical caseload to an advanced professional standard using specialist knowledge from theoretical and practical experience.
Develop an extended scope of practice beyond their primary profession.
Triage referrals either independently or with medical colleagues and make onward referrals.
Initiate/participate in audit projects and work alongside the MDT in diagnostic/prognostic research.
