This role is integral to supporting the continued expansion and deployment of the Urban64 system.
The successful candidate will oversee the design of traffic signal schemes from inception through to completion, requiring a deep understanding of the traffic signal industry.
Strong communication skills are essential, both for liaising with customers and for collaborating with the wider team.
While the role is primarily design-focused, we welcome applicants with strong IT skills and a background in the maintenance of permanent traffic signals.
We are interested in someone who has qualifications in either the electrical side of things, computer programming or comms/networking.
Duties Assist in the development and design of traffic management systems using software such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
Support project management activities by coordinating schedules, resources, and documentation.
Conduct field surveys and data collection to inform traffic system designs.
Utilise ArcGIS for mapping and spatial analysis related to traffic projects.
Collaborate with engineers to build and refine traffic models for analysis.
Prepare reports and presentations on project progress and findings.
Maintain accurate records of project documentation and correspondence.
Participate in team meetings to discuss project updates and address any challenges.
Requirements Proficiency in MicroStation, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and ArcGIS is essential.
Strong understanding of system design principles related to traffic management.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Familiarity with project management methodologies is advantageous.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
A degree or relevant qualification in civil engineering or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
Previous experience in a similar role would be beneficial.
