Job description: Trainee Traffic Management Operatives – Bodmin, Cornwall Our clients require Traffic Management Operatives to carry out tasks such as setting up temporary traffic lights, and manning road closures ensuring all schemes run smoothly and efficiently during each working day.Due to the nature of the industry, each role would require certain flexibility, and one must be able to work both days and nights, including some weekends as needed.Successful candidates for the role of TM Operative should have Ability to work as part of a teamAbility to carry out work to a high standardGood communication skillsGood timekeeping skillsWillingness and flexibility to undertake some shifts out of normal working hoursWillingness to carry out other tasks upon requestAbility to always maintain Health and Safety standardsA can-do and responsible attitude to work.Have a full UK manual driving license with no more than 6 points (desirable) Applicants must Hold a minimum 12D TTMBC, T1/T2 or aboveBe able to pass a Drug & Alcohol test when required Hours of work:Monday – Friday, days or nights with some weekend and bank holidays when requiredRate of Pay:Up to £144 per shift to start with increased payments for weekend and bank holiday workThese will be PAYE positions so you will benefit from: Accrued Holiday Pay from day onePension contributions (after a qualifying period)Weekly PayNo umbrella payments or feesOnly tax and national insurance deductions will be shown on your payslip.
Depending on your performance, this will start as a temporary role but could become permanent after 3 months.
