Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - SEND School - OrmskirkAre you a compassionate and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?
Tradewind Recruitment is excited to present an opportunity to join a thriving SEND school in Ormskirk, known for its nurturing environment and commitment to helping every child achieve their potential.About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled HLTA to work closely with teachers, support staff, and pupils to deliver high-quality education and care.
This role involves working with children and young people aged 5-19 who have a range of SEND needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and associated learning challenges.Key ResponsibilitiesPlanning and delivering tailored interventions and activities under the guidance of teaching staff.Leading small group sessions or working 1:1 to support learning and development.Providing support in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management in creating a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and parents/carers.Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to support pupil's holistic development.What We're Looking ForA Level 4 or equivalent HLTA qualification (or willingness to work towards it).Experience working with children or young people with SEND, ideally within an educational setting.Strong communication skills and a proactive, adaptable attitude.A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs and helping them thrive.Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies (training can be provided).What We OfferA competitive salary and benefits package.Access to professional development and training opportunities.A chance to work in a supportive and well-resourced SEND setting.The opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people.How to ApplyIf you are ready to take the next step in your career and join a dedicated team making a meaningful impact, we'd love to hear from you.
