At Driver Hire Southampton, we are excited to announce an opening for a Trade Counter Assistant position on behalf of our esteemed client.
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong understanding of warehouse operations.
This is a hands-on role, where you will be assisting customers, processing orders, managing stock, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations on the trade counter.
About this position: 12-week temp to perm position Monday to Friday- no weekends 8:00am- 5:00pm with 1 hour lunch Develop and sustain strong relationships with clients Handle client quotation and sales orders Warehouse work- picking and packing, stock management etc Assisting in completing deliveries to customers when required Make outgoing calls to potential new clients Apply electrical knowledge to help customers in store and over the phone What we require from you: Full UK driving licence held for minimum of 1 year Fantastic customer service and communication skills Confident on the phone and computer literate Strong negotiation abilities Previous background in sales and the electrical industry is beneficial Ability to work under pressure effectively and reach sales targets Happy to help in the warehouse as well as completing deliveries Benefit of working with our client: Salary between £27,000-£30,000 (based on experience) Opportunity of securing a permanent role after 12 weeks Training provided Working for one of the UK's leading electrical wholesalers Small, friendly team No weekends Onsite parking Opportunity for progression into managerial positions with our client 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays) Annual bonus in place Driver Hire Southampton is an agency which provides staff cover to a range of companies within the Southampton and Winchester area.
