RECRUITMENTiQ is working alongside a leading global contract developer and manufacturer (CDMO) with delivery platform expertise in Autoinjector, Inhalation, Transdermal/Intradermal Patch Technologies, based in Clitheroe, Lancashire.
Our client is hiring for a passionate and experienced Toolmaker to join their team.
Job Responsibilities Responsible for the day-to-day repair and maintenance of all component production presses, to ensure daily production targets are achieved.Engage with continuous improvements activities within the module including, Safety, current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
Involves a shift operation covering a wide variety of products & processes for the production of current and next generation Metered Dose Inhalers.
Work safely in line with behavioural safety principles.
Carry out maintenance and refurbishment of transfer press and progression tools.
You must be competent in using manual machine tools i.e., lathes, milling machines, surface, cylindrical and internal grinding machines.
Carry out routine preventative maintenance tasks in accordance with the companys asset care programme.
Manufacture and maintain a healthy supply of spares to minimise downtime.
Set up machines for change of job in a timely manner and authorise for production.
You must be able to read and interpretTechnical Drawings/Technical Specifications.
Comply with the 10 rules of cGMP.
Use appropriate diagnostic tools to assist in resolving machine problems.
Communicate with colleagues and team leaders at shift handover to ensure any problems are left with full detailed explanations.
Ensure clear, concise documentation when populating manufacturing information sheets, intervention logbooks and in-process checks.
Contribute, initiate, and support continuous improvement activities.
Ability to make decisions independently, demonstrating a structured thought process.
Knowledge & Skills Experience in deep draw transfer press (Platarg and/or Bruderer) work is essential.
Time-served Toolmaker.
City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths Computer literate in Word and Excel is desirable Experience of working within a manufacturing environment is essential.
Confident interpersonal skills Hours of work Rotating 2 shift pattern Monday to Friday.
6am 2pm / 1.45pm 9.45pm (incurring a 25% shift premium).
Salary Dependent on level of experience.
£29,375-£45,000 per annum, inclusive of shift pay (25% of base) and dependent on experience.
