NHS Grampian and Glasgow Caledonia University (GCU) are working jointly to welcome nurses whose registration has lapsed to return to practice via a collaborative employment model.
You will be supported through a short course (starting 10 th February) which prepares nurses for re-joining the NMC register and enable them to return to their field of practice in a safe and confident manner.
There is no requirement to attend GCU campus.
A 7 week theory block will be delivered online with some peer support sessions in NHS Grampian.
You will then commence clinical placement in a relevant area of your field of practice depending on vacancies within NHS Grampian.
Practice hours can be completed via a full or part time route and you will be fully supported by both the university and in practice areas.

To be added to the session please email – ****** You will be remunerated at band 2 during all of your theory and placement hours.
You will then be paid at band 4 once you have completed the course and are working whilst you wait for your NMC registration.
On successful completion of the course and re-joining the NMC register employment in a band 5 role with NHS Grampian is guaranteed.
