Job summary An exciting role within the Oxford Cancer Centre @ Oxford!
We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring, highly motivated and experienced Therapeutic Radiographer to join our friendly and welcoming team at the Oxford Cancer Centre to work in a split role between Physics Planning & Pre-treatment/Treatment .
Our equipment refresh programme is complete with two Varian Halcyon linacs & 3 Truebeams with RGSC & 6Dof couches, one of which has Hyperarc .
Pre-treatment houses 2 GoSim CT scanners with auto-contouring software.
Our satellite unit in Swindon houses 2 Trubeam linacs with 6DoF couches and a GoSim CT scanner and our single linac with a GoSim CT scanner satellite centre in Milton Keynes opens later this year.
Patients are at the heart of what we do, and we are looking for Therapeutic Radiographers who can deliver excellent care with compassion and respect.
We deliver a range of techniques including IMRT, VMAT, DIBH, IGRT, complex SABR, SRS/SRT, TBI - all grades are expected and encouraged to participate in these treatment and verification techniques.

Our Practice Educator team can assist with professional development; we strongly encourage Radiographers to get involved in audit & service development.
There is access to CPD funding for both academic modules and conferences.
Main duties of the job Work as a senior member of the team of Radiographers covering all sections of the department including mould room, CT scanning, virtual simulation and contouring, delivery of a wide range of both simple & complex treatment and IGRT techniques.Work on a rotational basis through all clinical areas; treatment floor, pre-treatment area and Radiotherapy Physics treatment planning.Participate in all aspects of the treatment planning service.
This includes carrying out highly complex treatment planning, introducing new techniques and carrying out applied research.Support the team leader in the day-to-day management of their assigned pre-treatment or treatment work area, assisting in the organisation and management of the clinical workload.Liaising with the multidisciplinary team.Assist with the day-to-day organisation of a treatment unit to ensure an efficient service is delivered and workload targets are achieved.Supervise, support & teach junior members of staff and students About us Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the country.

Person Specification Shortlist Offline Essential Post registration experience of working as a Therapeutic Radiographer with rotations through pre-treatment and treatment BSc (Hon) in Radiotherapy HCPC Therapeutic Radiographer registration Core knowledge of a range of radiotherapy equipment and techniques together with the principles underlying them Core knowledge of the principles of radiotherapy treatment planning and radiation dosimetry as applied to radiotherapy treatments Ability to work well within a team environment Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Able to use treatment planning systems and virtual simulation software.
Knowledge of current IR(ME) Regulations and responsibilities relating to own professional practice Desirable Experience of complex techniques delivery SABR, SRS Evidence of post graduate training
