Job summary To support patients with more complex needs with supervision and direction from a qualified Occupational Therapist.
To undertake administrative duties as requested to support the allied health professional services.
To be responsible for the co-ordination and sharing of activity timetables for the ward.
To provide autonomous assessments and interventions, for own designated caseload of patients, who have routine clinical needs that follow agreed pathways of treatment.
Take the lead in designing and implementing individual and group activities to provide structure on the ward, including the therapeutic program for the school holidays.
Main duties of the job Attend and effectively contribute to regular meetings, including: Monthly staff business meetings Weekly Team meeting CPA meetings Quarterly OT Forum Ensure effective and defensible documentation to professional and Trust standards Promote a positive and efficient image of the service within own and wider team.
Provide effective advice, information and support for patients, carersand those involved in the child/ young person's care.
Ensure staff, patients and carers are aware of your role.
Overcome barriers to communication by altering style and format.
