Job overview We have an exciting opportunity for a Therapy Assistant to join the Frailty, Acute General Medicine and Trauma Therapy Team at the Horton General Hospital, Banbury.
If you are the successful candidate you will work alongside Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Therapy Assistants to deliver high quality patient centred care.
The post involves working with patients in a variety of areas including frailty, general medicine and trauma and you will be expected, with support, to provide intervention for individuals to promote recovery, rehabilitation and discharge.
In addition to the clinical elements of this role, the post also involves supporting the therapy team with general administrative duties and managing equipment and stock levels to ensure the smooth running of the service.
You will become an integral part of our friendly and supportive therapy team whilst also working closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team.
Training and ongoing development will be encouraged.

Main duties of the job Job StatementThis position offers you the opportunity to work as a Therapy Assistant within the successful and integrated therapy service at the Horton hospital.
You will have the opportunity to support in the planning and implementing of therapeutic and rehabilitative programmes for patients and undertake exercise sessions with individuals to promote functional recovery.
Alongside this you will support in the discharge planning process with equipment provision and collation of social history.A further important aspect of this role is to ensure equipment stocks are replenished to allow for the smooth running of the service.You will be expected to work with the wider multi-disciplinary team and senior support will ensure you receive regular continued professional development and opportunities to further expand your skills and knowledge.
