Job summary Theatre Practitioner Band 6 - ODP/RN ** £1500 New starter premium** The Queen Victoria Hospital are looking for experienced Operating Department Practitioners/Theatre is an excellent opportunity for an individual to further develop leadership skills in a forward thinking team, striving to provide a high standard of care to our patients.
You will have vision and leadership qualities that will contribute to a safe, productive, efficient team.
You must: Be NMC/HCPC registered Have significant post graduate experience Happy to train and develop Excellent communication skills, along with being organised and can showcase excellent patient care If you are successfully appointed to this role and complete a 6 month probationary period you will be eligible for a two stage New Starter Premium of £1500 in total.
Main duties of the job The post holder will lead the team and facilitate the provision of a coordinated, high quality service in the following surgical specialities: o Major head and neck reconstructive surgeryo Maxillofacial Surgeryo Plastic Surgery including major reconstructiono Hand surgeryo Ophthalmics, including corneal graftso Burns for reconstructive surgeryo Trauma Our success is underpinned by the skills and enthusiasm of our team and a strong culture of partnership.

Person Specification Qualification Essential Registered Nurse or Registered ODP Desirable Academic training in specialist areas, teaching and training Experience Essential Leadership qualities and management competence and experience Experience as an advanced theatre practitioner in at least two clinical areas recovery, anaesthetics, surgery Desirable Experience within a specialist field
