Job summary Theatre Practitioner - KIMS Hospital, MaidstoneODP | Theatre Nurse | Perioperative Practitioner | Scrub Practitioner | Scrub Nurse | Full Time | PermanentAre you a skilled Nurse or ODP who is patient orientated with experience working in a fast-paced environment?

If so, we have an excellent opportunity for you.We are looking for a strong and motivated Nurse or ODP to join perioperative team as a Theatre Practitioner.You will be a key member of our multi-disciplinary theatres team, working within scrub, anaesthetics, or recovery to ensure the highest standard of clinical care and safety for patients within the theatre unit.This role is for Hours per week, working 07:45 – 17:45 for 4 days between Monday and Saturday.

Main duties of the job As Theatre Practitioner you will: Work primarily as a scrub practitioner, with the occasional need to work as an anaesthetic or recovery practitioner (once full training is given if required).
Assess and implement patient care requirements and evaluate outcomes.
Communicate effectively with other departments Sterile Services, Wards, Imaging Department to ensure effective and smooth-running patient care.
Ensure that patients' comfort, dignity, and privacy are always maintained.
Ensure that your own practice and the practice of others is within an ethical and legal framework.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Be a qualified and registered Practitioner (RN or ODP).
Experience Essential Be patient orientated with a focus on continuous service improvement.
Have evidence of continuous professional development and its application.
Desirable Have post-registration clinical experience as a Scrub and Anaesthetic or Recovery Practitioner in an acute hospital (NHS or independent).
Experience of planning, co-ordinating and running the daily workload in a theatre suite, including the supervision of staff.
