Job summary An opportunity has arisen at Eastbourne District General Hospital for a Band 2 Theatre Porter.The job role will include participating in collection of patients from surgical wards, transporting patients, equipment, specimens and general support as required to the PACU and theatre teams.This is a full time service and you will be required to work some weekends and bank holidays throughout the year.You should be able to demonstrate excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills as liaison with other disciplines is integral to this role.
Main duties of the job To facilitate the patients journey through theatres.To transport essential and non-essential equipment, specimens and blood products around the hospital.To support the daily waste management through theatres.
