Job summary Frimley Park Hospital is currently seeking a Health Care Assistant to join our dedicated Day Surgery Unit 2 Theatre Team.
We welcome applications from motivated, enthusiastic applicants who are committed to providing excellent patient care.
Experience within an operating theatre or hospital environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
Main duties of the job A Healthcare Assistant (HCA) in operating theatres works as part of the multidisciplinary team.
They assist setting up theatres and preparing the theatre and patient for surgery.
The HCA assists the Theatre Practitioners and surgical team during surgical procedures with equipment, instruments and patient care.Applications are for full time hours worked over 3/4 days, doing 07:30 - 19:30 shifts from Monday to Friday.
Applicants will be willing to do cross-site working with Wexham Park Hospital and Heatherwood Hospital when required.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Educated to GCSE level Desirable Completion of a care award NVQ Experience Essential Experience of working in a team, undertaking duties as requested Desirable Experience in healthcare setting Experience of working in theatres Skills Essential Good communication skills, both written and verbal Physical ability to carry out activities required manual handling loads, transferring patients and pushing beds Good interpersonal and teamworking skills under sometimes difficult conditions Manual dexterity to assist within theatre environment eg opening sterile supplies
