Test Engineer Software

In this role, reporting to the Test Engineering Manager, you'll define and optimise methods to ensure products meet mechanical, environmental, optical, and electronics performance specifications.

Operate automated and manual test equipment, including data acquisition systems and environmental chambers.
Oversee multiple test projects and manage schedules.
Maintain data accuracy through thorough documentation.
Manage subcontractor tasks and source lab supplies.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
3-5 years' experience in mechanical design within a precision industry.
Proficiency in 3D CAD (preferably SolidWorks) and understanding of BS 8888.
Experience with precision mechanisms, electronic packaging, and finite element analysis.
Strong skills in data acquisition, analysis, and reporting.
Familiarity with standard business software (MS Office).
Commitment to quality, teamwork, and problem-solving.
Experience with optical and mechanical components.
Knowledge of Quality Control principles.
