They will successfully drive highly complex hospital sales from introduction of a new screening and diagnostic concepts through closure and implementation, working with physicians, laboratory, infection control, Quality Assurance and executive staff members to identify needs, gain consensus, and close new assay and instrumentation business as rapidly as possible.This position is part of the U.K. South Sales Department and will be located in South East of England as a remote working position.In this role, you will have the opportunity to:Manage and grow business in both new and existing Cepheid accountsExpand menu utilization and develop demand for the adoption of new assays and instrumentation both in the Lab and in Point of care (POC) settingsNegotiate and manage contracts including working with Managed Service ContractsIntroduce new testing concepts and productsUse Salesforce CRM to manage customer and account dataThe essential requirements of the job include:Strong track record of sales success, specifically in selling premium productExpertise with demand creation and multi-departmental hospital salesStrengths in networking and relationship developmentStrong oral and written communications skillsSkilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint applicationsExperienced in managing stakeholders throughout the UK healthcare hierarchy.
This includes but is not limited to lab technicians, lab managers, clinicians, hospital administration, purchasing and government officialsEducated to degree level preferably in biological or health related subjectsTravel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for roleUp to 90% travel in the UK with occasional inter Europe and international travelAs the majority of the accounts are based in South London and the SE of England the successful candidate will be expected to spend the majority of their time in this regionMust have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving recordIt would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:Molecular/PCR diagnosticsExperience with the customer base within territory is a plusPre-existing relationships within the territory would be advantageousCepheid, a Danaher operating company, offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to our lives.
