Are you passionate about helping others thrive in secure and supported housing?Join our dedicated team at One YMCA as a Tenancy Sustainment Officer and make a real difference in the lives of our residents.About the Role:As a Tenancy Sustainment Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring our residents can sustain their accommodation and feel supported in their housing journey.Working within our Housing Service team, you will focus on:• Rent and Income Management: Providing advice and support to residents to ensure timely rent payments, managing arrears• Housing Benefits Guidance: Assisting residents with their housing benefit claims during their stay with us.• Resident Support: Offering practical support to residents, addressing their individual needs, and signposting them to additional services when necessary.What You'll Need: We're looking for a compassionate and proactive individual who can:• Build strong and supportive relationships with residents.• Navigate housing-related systems, including benefits and all types of tenancy agreements.• Communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.• Work collaboratively within a team and with external agencies.• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.• Experience in housing, benefits, or tenancy management is essential, and a strong understanding of rent collection processes is highly desirable.How to Apply:To apply for this role, please submit your CV and a cover letter detailing your experience and passion for supporting residents.At One YMCA we are an inclusive organisation and actively promote equality of opportunity for all with the right mix of talent, skills, and potential.
