Temporary Payroll And Finance Officer (Part-Time)

Are you an experienced Payroll professional with strong organisation, interpersonal and communication skills?
Can you work in Oxford City Centre on a daily basis?If so, we have registered an excellent opportunity to join a fantastic company on a temporary basis.
Our client is looking to recruit a knowledgeable Finance professional to take ownership of the entire payroll, alongside additional accounting tasks.The role is being offered on a part-time basis, 28 hours a week (excluding lunch breaks) across a minimum of 4 working days.
You will be based on site daily and sadly there is no parking available, so you must be able to travel to Oxford without the need for a vehiclePlease only apply for this role if you are available immediately and able to commute to the office daily.Temporary Part-Time Payroll & Finance Officer ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will manage of all aspects of the payroll system, including pensions, HMRC liaison, and will also assist with the production of management and year-end accounts including:Preparing the monthly payroll including pension contributions; payroll related loans; salary sacrifice etcPosting the monthly payroll and reconciliation of all payroll control accountsActing as the first point of contact for all payroll related queriesAdministering any payroll changes such as SSP or SMP and rectifying any errorsAssisting with the production of management and year end accountsWorking with the HR team to support relevant new starter and leaver processesPreparation of all statutory HMRC reports and returnsProviding ad hoc general support to the finance team, as requiredTemporary Part-Time Payroll & Finance Officer RewardsA competitive hourly rate is offered alongside holiday pay.The role is based within beautiful surroundings.Free lunches are offeredThe CompanyOur client describes themselves as friendly, supportive, and encouraging of personal development.Temporary Part-Time Payroll & Finance Officer RequirementsProven experience within a similar roleStrong understanding of payroll and finance systems (ideally CintraIQ, or similar)High levels of accuracy and attention to detailStrong organisational skills and a methodical and structured approach to workExcellent IT skills, including a good knowledge of MS Office – with particular proficiency in ExcelExcellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)Customer-centric and professional, with a proactive can-do attitudeSolution-focused, with a flexible approach to problem-solving and dealing with issues.Uses initiativeStrong team player with experience of working successfully as part of a busy Accounts/Finance teamDemonstrable experience of working to tight timescales and deadlinesAbility to work under pressure when necessary and manage multiple prioritiesThe
