About The Role Our Technology team has a requirement for a Technology Specialist - Workplace.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to support end-user devices and the implementation of new technologies and methodologies as part of a wider team.
Managing the support lifecycle of circa 40,000 devices in a Microsoft Windows, Linux, Android, ChromeOS, MacOS and iOS environment.
This is a hybrid role based at our head office in Bradford, West Yorkshire.
You'll be responsible for: Providing technical support, guidance and input into the roadmap and vision for End User Computing, Google Productivity and Asset Management.
Creating and managing automated/scripted builds across all client operating systems to ensure an effective and compliant process.
Providing technical oversight for the Workplace support services including the onsite TechBar and VIP support.
Working cross-functionally to deliver technical solutions for Workplace.
Technical oversight of the product catalogue and ensure that products are compatible and meet business needs.
Designing and developing client policies (eg Desktop Group Policy) and ensuring a continuous improvement cycle for all policies.
Technical Escalation for TechBar and desktop support functions.
Acting as the technical authority for all hardware and operating system updates (e.g.
monthly patching, feature releases).
Driving continuous improvements through automation.
About You You'll ideally have the following skills and experience: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with an aptitude for logical problem resolution and creativity in finding solutions.
A strong real-world capability in scripting and programming languages.
Relevant technical accreditation in Windows (eg Windows 10/11 MCSA/Modern Desktop) or relevant experience.
Previous experience working in one of the following roles: Technical Platform Delivery role, 3rd Line Support or as a Windows System Engineer.
Passionate about End User Technology and providing an excellent customer experience.
Previous experience working in a large, complex and fast-paced organisation.
Experience working with a diverse range of devices on different operating platforms.
Experience with device management tools and policy enforcement tools (eg Group Policy).
Able to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
