Within the Engineering Office we have a new vacancy for a Technology Simulation Engineer.
Technology Simulation Engineer - The Role As a Technology Simulation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in defining technical specifications for various systems, aligning with high-level technical directives.
Your primary focus will be on supporting the development of transmission and powertrain systems for both current and future F1 cars through advanced simulations, ad hoc testing campaigns, and track/dyno data analysis.
You may also work on other systems such as cooling, hydraulics, fuel systems, and brakes.
You will collaborate with multiple teams within Enstone, including power unit integration, controls, stress, modelling, and testing, as well as with our engine team and suppliers.
Additionally, you will define specifications for the improvement and development of simulation models, with opportunities to contribute to the modelling side under the guidance of the Modelling & Testing Methodologies team.
Technology Simulation Engineer - The Person We are looking for a motivated and proactive person with grounding in classical mechanics, fluid mechanics and thermodynamics.
Previous experience in motorsport is advantageous but not essential.
University Engineering MSc or PhD (Mechanical, Aerospace).
Strong background in transmission and powertrain dynamics.
Understanding of other car systems (fuel, hydraulics, cooling) is a plus.
Strong understanding of mechanical system dynamic simulations (using multi-body codes, ideally Dymola).
Good programming skills (Matlab/Python) including data survey and analysis techniques.
