Salary: £22,620 - £23,679 Employer Pension Contribution: 21.8% (£4,931.16 - £5,162.02 FTE).
Location: Stretford Campus (although requirements across the Group may require cover at other sites) Our client has an opportunity for an experienced Technician to join the Construction team to help them achieve their vision of unlocking potential and fostering success.

The Role: As technician in Electrical, you will be responsible for providing high quality support in the workshop in order to enable the Group to meet the standards required in practical classes.
This will involve ensuring stock levels or tools and equipment are maintained, auditing the storeroom and facilitating the delivery of workshops supporting teaching members of staff.
Team working and communications within an overall approach that values people will be of key importance.
About you?
: If you are passionate about your specialist subject and sharing your knowledge, skills and experience and have an enthusiasm for supporting apprentices then there has never been a better time to join The Group.
To be successful at application stage it would be advantageous if you have a level 2 or 3 qualification in electrical or have equivalent experience working as a qualified electrician.
You should be qualified to level 2 and ideally have literacy & numeracy at level 2.
Additionally, it would be desirable to hold a relevant and current First Aid qualification and be Fire Marshall trained or be willing to undertake the training.
For the right candidate we would like to develop you to enable you to progress.
This would involve putting you through a teaching assessment quality assurance (TAQA) qualification.
This will enable you to complete assessing on a flexible hours basis which is paid at a rate of £21.94 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay).
This will enable you to eventually progress into an assessor role or teaching role within the Group.
