Care to Join Us?We currently have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated temporary Technician - Construction until August 2025.
The information below provides more detail about the role and you may also wish to learn a little more about working for South Hampshire College Group by viewing the below video.We offer great benefits including;30 days leave per year.Pension fund of up to 27.1% per annum.Regular training and development.Pathways to teaching qualifications. Duties:To prepare materials and set up equipment for use in workshops.To assist in the ordering and stock control of consumable items and equipment.To give practical assistance to faculty staff and assist students in a supporting role when classes are in operation. To assist with the area's Health and Safety requirements which includes taking an active part in maintaining any applicable system.  (e.g.
Risk Assessments, maintaining Risk Assessment Logs and up-dating COSHH forms)To assist in departmental administrative tasks which include cataloguing, filing, photocopying and labelling of resource materials. To maintain good housekeeping standards in the working areas, including tidying the work area and ensuring all equipment is satisfactorily maintained.To assist with the unloading of materials and equipment delivered to the College.To make occasional purchases and collect materials which are required for lessons.To support College Open events as required. Skills/Experience:Excellent interpersonal and communication skillsGood IT skills Qualifications:Minimum GCSE Grade 4/C in English & Maths  Ideal Attributes:Adaptable and flexible in approachInnovative and creative approach to workCommitment to ongoing learning and professional developmentAble to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines and targets?We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive sufficient applications for the role.
