Technical Weaving Operative Our client based in Holmfirth is looking for an experienced Technical Weaving Operative.
This is a temporary role starting immediately!
As a technical Weaving Operative you will have to manage and operate up to 12 looms, utilizing both natural and synthetic yarns.
The role requires proficiency in operating both dobby and jacquard looms while ensuring a high standard of quality in the weaving process.
Responsibilities include repairing warp and weft breaks, filling weft creels, and ensuring fabric is doffed at the correct length.
You will be expected to check fabrics for defects, follow all quality procedures, and document results.
The role also involves taking responsibility for stopping machines if any quality issues arise and reporting these to the team leader or loom tuner.
The ideal candidate will have experience in rapier and air jet weaving, a strong knowledge of jacquard weaving, and the ability to read weaving drafts and designs.
Experience with woollen, worsted, and synthetic yarns is also required.
