Our client is on the hunt for a talented Technical Underwriter (aka Inherent Defects Underwriter) to join their team in Manchester.
As a key player in this role youll be responsible for technical underwriting policy wordings and contractual doentation the perfect opportunity to expand your expertise and make a real impact.
Responsibilities: * Drive improvements in quality and current practices * Ensure all legal regulatory and compliance requirements are met * Deliver topnotch internal technical underwriting services by evaluating and ysing applications to determine risk levels and cover limits * Use data ytics to identify patterns trends and areas for improvement in underwriting processes and pricing * Collaborate with the claims department to review and yse claims data identifying potential areas of underwriting improvement * Participate in internal and external audits to ensure underwriting practices comply with company standards and regulatory requirements * Contribute towards loss ratio control by effectively adhering to the companys plans * Perform other reasonable duties igned by the Head of Technical Underwriting What Youll Need: * Selfmotivated with a proactive approach * Excellent interpersonal and negotiation ss * ytical ss * Good underwriting knowledge and experience Perks & Benefits: * 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (increasing to 30 days after 5 years of service) * 2 Wellbeing Days in addition to annual leave * Annual bonus * Excellent pension scheme * Private Medical Insurance * Enhanced Maternity/Paternity leave (after 2 years service) About Our Client: Our client is an inclusive employer that celebrates diversity and promotes equity and inclusion in the workplace.
