Technical Product Manager *This role requires candidates to hold active SC Clearance* Initial 12 month contract - inside IR35 We are seeking experienced Technical Product Managers to join a very busy UK government technology programme and help steer the development and management of a major AWS cloud platform.
In this role, the Technical Product Manager will also be responsible for highly technical third-party tools and services that integrate seamlessly with the platform, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

This role requires an understanding of technical architecture, software development processes, and agile delivery practices.
Collaborating closely with delivery managers, the Technical Product Manager will be responsible for defining product requirements, prioritising the backlog, and ensuring alignment between the delivery team and organisational objectives
Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain a detailed, technically informed product vision, ensuring it aligns with both user needs and the broader business strategy Work with architects and engineering leads to define a technical roadmap that supports the long-term scalability, performance, and security of the product.
Collaborate with engineers to ensure user stories have clearly defined acceptance criteria and technical considerations.
Partner with the Delivery Manager to plan and execute sprints, ensuring the team delivers on priorities while addressing blockers and risks.
Own, refine, and prioritise the product backlog, balancing technical debt, infrastructure needs, and feature development.
Ensure the platform meets performance, security, and scalability standards.
Ensure product development adheres to technical standards, including accessibility, security, and compliance frameworks (e.g., OWASP, GDS, WCAG).
Review and approve user stories, technical documentation, and functional deliverables before production release.
Use tools like Jira, Confluence, and GitLab to provide transparency into progress and maintain alignment with delivery teams.
Requirements: Must hold active SC Clearance Strong technical acumen with a good understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and modern software architecture patterns.
Proven experience in Lifecycle Management of products through their lifecycle stages (discovery, alpha, beta, live).
Experience in evaluating and integrating third-party tools and services.
Analytical and problem-solving skills and proficient in using analytics and observability to diagnose issues and optimise performance.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Ability to work effectively within agile product teams.
Experience collaborating with technical engineers and architects.
Strong commitment to security frameworks and principles in all decision-making processes Experience creating technical product roadmap in collaboration with engineering leads.
