The ideal candidate is a technically focused formulator with customer facing experience who can promote specialty chemicals and technical solutions to formulators within the home care and industrial cleaning market in the UK.
Responsibilities: Responsibility for promoting specialty chemicals and providing technical solutions to formulators within the home care and industrial cleaning industry Develop, grow and manage a technical business pipeline within the UK & Nordic Region Identify and acquire new customers showcasing the home care and industrial cleaning portfolio Implementation and delivery of new products to the home care and industrial cleaning market Market and competition monitoring, identification of new business opportunities Deepening the knowledge of chemicals/ingredients within the home care and industrial cleaning portfolio Regular customer visits and calls, both directly and together with sales colleagues Report maintenance and documentation in the CRM system (Salesforce) Represent the company at tradeshows and exhibitions Train sales/commercial personnel on raw materials and their applications within the home care and industrial cleaning industry Qualifications: Degree, Masters or PhD in Chemistry (or related subject) Formulations and/or proven industry experience within the home care and industrial cleaning market in the UK 5 years' experience working with raw materials (enzymes, biologicals, surfactants, etc) used within home care and industrial cleaning applications Customer facing experience (internal and external) Proficient in MS Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to handle complex projects and multi-task responsibilities.
Understanding of home care and industrial cleaning market trends, compliance and regulatory requirements Ability to promote technical raw materials to formulators (ability to speak the formulators language) Strong communication skills, both oral and written, necessary to communicate effectively inside and outside the organization Ability to travel throughout the UK and occasionally the Nordic region (2-3 times per year)
