Technical Manager - Food Manufacturing Monday - Friday - 40 hours per week Annual Salary of £34,000 What's in it for me?
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Technical Manager to join our well-established client based in Leicester on a full-time permanent basis.

Modern office environment On site parking On site canteen Progression opportunities Day to Day Duties The day-to-day duties of a Technical Manager in the food industry typically include a blend of leadership, technical oversight, and collaboration to ensure quality and efficiency in food production Conducting audits and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements Investigating and resolving quality issues or non-conformities.
Leading R&D initiatives for new product formulations.
Optimizing recipes, ingredients, and production processes.
Testing and approving prototypes before full-scale production.
Troubleshooting technical issues during manufacturing.
Ensuring that production processes meet efficiency and quality targets.
Training and guiding production staff on technical procedures.
Supervising and mentoring technical and quality teams.
Coordinating with procurement, marketing, and operations teams.
Acting as the technical liaison with suppliers and clients.
Preparing and maintaining technical documentation, including specifications and reports.
Keeping up-to-date with changes in food laws, regulations, and market trends.
Managing certifications and ensuring their renewal.
Essential Skills Experience in a food manufacturing environment, ideally in a similar role.
Strong understanding of food labelling regulations and specification systems.
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work methodically.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and specification management software.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Highly organised: able to manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong attention to detail Proficient IT skills Excellent communication Previous experience in similar role Can work with minimal support, ability to manage and prioritise task to keep to deadlines.
Some knowledge of specifications for export.
Desirable Experience Understanding of raw materials, additives, and their functionality in food systems.
Experience in implementing environmentally friendly practices, such as waste reduction or sustainable sourcing.
