ResponsibilitiesAs a Technical Lead, you will play a critical role in driving the success of our data engineering team. You will lead, mentor, and support a talented group of data solution engineers.
Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, ensuring best practices are followed and team members are empowered to succeed.Develop robust, fault-tolerant, and efficient code for production-level data processing systems.Configure and deploy our software using tools such as Spark, Hadoop, Scala, and Elasticsearch.Serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients, translating complex technical concepts into clear insights for non-technical stakeholders.Collaborate closely with solution architects and R&D engineers to solve complex big data challenges.Champion knowledge-sharing initiatives, promoting continuous improvement across the team and organization.Candidate ProfileMinimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, with at least 3 years in Quantexa and 2 years in a leadership role.Strong experience with Scala, Java, Python, or other data engineering-related languages.Expertise in building and deploying production-level data processing systems.Familiarity with modern development tools (e.g., Git, Gradle, Nexus) and DevOps practices (e.g., Jenkins, Docker).Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts effectively.Knowledge of testing libraries (e.g., ScalaTest) and experience writing various test types.Proven ability to grow and up-skill team members through mentoring.Passion for driving business expansion and leading initiatives.BenefitsCompetitive salaryAgile/ Flexible workingProfessional training and accreditationCentral London locationAll our opportunities require that applicants are eligible to work in the specified country/location, unless otherwise stated.
