Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Technical Director to lead software development teams within our Swan Retail and EPOS Bureau business units.
This role is pivotal in driving technical vision, guiding architectural decisions, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions aligned with company objectives.
You will manage multiple development teams, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration while delivering on ambitious product roadmaps.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in software development, with 2+ years in leadership roles.
Strong expertise in Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum) and modern development practices is required.
Proficiency in programming languages such as .NET, Java, and React is also necessary.
Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD and automated testing, is a must-have.
Proven ability to manage complex software projects and mentor diverse teams is essential.

Key Responsibilities: Define and implement a strategic vision for the software development function, aligned with business objectives.
Lead and mentor multiple development teams, ensuring they are motivated and equipped to succeed.
Oversee the full software development lifecycle, delivering projects on time, within scope, and budget.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management and design, to align development activities.
Track and report on KPIs for management reviews and drive continuous process improvement.
Support presales activities and contribute to RFP responses.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, integrating them into ClearCourse's solutions.
Manage relationships with external partners and vendors.
Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and security requirements.
What We're Looking For: • At least 5 years of experience in software development, with 2+ years in leadership roles.

Salary Range: £60,000.00-£65,000.00 per year.
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Waterlooville PO7 7XY.
